We’re looking for some new recreational assistants and lifeguards to join our growing sports centre team!
The gym gives users access to a range of state-of-the-art TechnoGym Cardio & Resistance machines, as well as five weight rack stations, a track sled, and an array of weight plates, dumbbells and barbells to suit everyone’s training needs.
The modern design with wood panelling, mirrors and windows overlooks the landscaped courtyard, making it the perfect environment to switch off and focus on your workout.
Our eight-court sports hall can be split into two separate halls.
One hall offers a full height & width climbing wall with five auto-belay systems, as well as retractable basketball hoops, a score board and two pairs of indoor cricket nets. The other hall offers four practice basketball hoops and four individual indoor cricket nets.
Both halls have the line markings to host a vast range of sports and activities including basketball, netball, badminton, indoor cricket, tennis, football, volleyball and more.
The multi-use Studio is light and airy, with mirrored walls and fitted ballet barres, along with large sliding door with access to a secluded terrace area. The studio houses equipment to offer Indoor Cycling, Circuits, Step, Yoga, Pilates, Ballet, Dance classes and more. With a built-in sound system accessed via Bluetooth to your own device, this space is perfect for a range activities.
We offer six of the best Courtcraft World Squash approved panel glass-back courts, with a central space to meet opponents, warm up, or rest between games with informal seating and storage benches.
Upstairs there is a full-length central viewing gallery to enjoy watching the Squash.
The beautifully designed Dojo is a state-of-the-art facility designed to host an array of martial arts. The vaulted ceilings, wood panelling and small picture windows with views across Winchester makes it a truly inspirational space to practice, train and compete.
In 2026, the Winchester College Sports Centre will be home to a 6-lane 25-metre swimming pool. Please sign up to our mailing list to receive updates about the opening of the pool.
The Winchester College Sports Centre has six Fives courts. Fives is historically known as hand-tennis or English handball sport, which is a ball game played by two or four players in an enclosed court.
Like our Squash courts, our Fives courts have with glass backs and a central viewing gallery with informal seating and storage benches.
There are two contemporary classrooms at the sports centre which can be opened up to make one large room. Both rooms are complete with seating for 10-15 people, a desk and a full AV system, as well as doors onto an outside terrace with views over to St Catherine’s Hill. These flexible spaces are ideally suited to teaching, workshops, training courses and meetings.
Enjoy a drink from our hot drinks machine and relax before or after your workout, or enjoying watching groups in the Sports Hall.
